Brian Kwan is an acupuncturist working at Dr. Penry’s office, and I have to say that he is, by far–the best acupuncturist I have ever had. Not even kidding. I had no idea how that accupunture would be something that I would look forward to. I have to say, for the record–I feel he is the best acupuncturist in Washington—and I recommend him all the time. And he is such a kind and caring person as well.”

I am seeing acupuncturist Brian Kwon as part of my recovery from chemo & radiation treatment in 2018. My first visit with Brian was maybe 5 months post chemo, I had body aches and stiffness. Brian was able to needle that away in about 8 visits. This January, I am back at Brian’s office in Kirkland again with a few lingering side effects and I am hoping Brian and acupunture can remedy with time. Now, the needles…I feel those tiny needles every time because one of the side effects of my chemo treatment is neuropathy in both my hands and feet. No pain no gain right?!?!? Right. I have never experience nor thought of acupuncture before cancer and now I highly recommend it.”

About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my right hand, wrist and thumb. The range of motion in my wrist was severely limited and the pain in my hand was bad. As a plumber, my hands are essential to doing my job. My occupational therapist suggested I try acupuncture to help alleviate the pain in my hand. Prescription creams did nothing to ease the pain and NSAIDs just took the edge off. After the second treatment from Brian, the pain was reduced by about 70%. It was truly amazing. We started with weekly treatments but have reduced them down to once every three weeks. Even at three week intervals, the pain is no longer a problem. Not only that, but the mobility in my wrist is increasing as well. Between the acupuncture and occupational therapy, I feel better than I have in years.”

Brain Kwon, MSAOM, L AC has provided excellent care for me in the last nine months using acupuncture to address a number of issues from slow recovery from the flu, fatigue, stress, as well as digestive and circulatory issues. Each time I go I feel restored to a better state and more resilient. I value using acupuncture because I see immediate results and there are no residual side effects that supplements, or medicines may cause. Brian is very skillful in determining how to address each issue and his very presence is calming and comforting. He is a good listener and his patient rapport is excellent.”
