Motor Vehicle Accident (Part 6)

I am going to explain briefly why it is important to receive East Asian Medicine treatment, such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and cupping, after a car accident.

When you get involved in an automobile accident, you typically receive various modalities of treatment, such as chiropractic, physical therapy and message therapy. Oftentimes, however, even after completing several sessions of treatment, you might feel pain. This is known as the “after-effects” from a car accident.

Sometimes, it is very difficult to diagnose these “after-effects” from X-ray or MRI images because it is likely that “after-effects” are occurring due to “blood stagnation”. “Blood stagnation” can occur if your body experiences traumas from any sort of accident. You can imagine “blood stagnation” as dead blood that isn’t flowing in the body, and when it happens, it can cause various manifestations including pain that occurs in the fixed location, dark-purple face or tongue, blood spots under the skin, etc.

In my earlier blog posts, I mentioned some common after-effects from an auto accident.

By properly removing “blood stagnation” using modalities such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, and cupping, your blood and energy would flow as it ought to, and thus, you would be able to prevent “after-effects”
