Motor Vehicle Accident (Part 2)

One area I specialize in is pain management, especially with auto accident cases. I’ve also worked with multiple chiropractors and physical therapists to help individuals recover from motor vehicle accidents.

The main thing you should do after an accident is to prevent any symptoms from being chronic or to avoid after-effects. How you receive the treatments for the first 3 months from the accident will determine how many after-effects you will have.

Immediately after a collision, all the joints in your body get impacted. At first, you might just notice the pain on your neck and shoulder, hoping your body will recover with enough rest. However, you will likely feel pain all over your body, including mid-back, low-back, hip, etc. if not treated properly. Among individuals involved in accidents, there are many who are suffering from issues not identified in the early examination.

I introduced a term called “blood stagnation” in one of my earlier blog articles. When a body is impacted by the collision, the blood is not flowing or circulating as it should. Once you find that there are no bone cracks or fractures, acupuncture, herbs, cupping, and manual therapies can improve your blood circulation so that oxygen and nutrients can reach the impacted area to help your body to recover.
