When I was first starting out with East Asian medicine, it wasn’t particularly new for me, having relatives and friends who had been practicing in the field. However, my interest in the field grew significantly when searching for the meaningful work of East Asian medicine that can largely benefit other individuals. I had done research in the science field that had many theories, but I wanted to focus on the practical aspects of how it can benefit a community.
As a practitioner of East Asian medicine, my goal is to provide evidence/research-based treatment to those who would need physical and mental relief, so that they can have an active lifestyle. I am very passionate about helping others through embracing acupuncture and other components of East Asian medicine.
Combining multiple modalities, I am experienced in treating a wide variety of conditions. Some common conditions that acupuncture is effective at helping are acute and chronic pain, headaches, digestive disorders, and sleep disturbances, as well as depression and anxiety. There are many other symptoms and conditions that can be helped by acupuncture and herbal medicine.
My family and I have lived in various cities: Chicago, IL, Cupertino, CA, Kansas City, KS, Lafayette, IN, and Seoul, Korea. Of all the places that I have lived in, I feel that the Pacific Northwest is surrounded by not only spectacular mountains and coastlines, but also friendly people who are open-minded, health-conscious, and pet-friendly. Since my family and I moved to Seattle 11 years ago, we feel that this area is our home.
My daughter is a student at the University of Washington (go Huskies!), while my son is a student at Bellevue High School. My wife and I like to travel, garden, and hike, but we also love to spend time with our 9-year-old shih tzu, Beni. We enjoy every single day that this beautiful state has to offer.
